Beliefs and Values

Ben Hill County School District believes:

·         That all children can learn in different ways and at different rates.

The Goals for the district will include:

1. BHCSD will increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standard in the core content areas as measured by the Georgia CRCT administered in Grades 3-8 and the GHSGT for first time test takers.

2. BHCSD will ensure fiscal responsibility and effective resource stewardship by managing human and financial resources.

3. BHCSD will provide a safe, nurturing, and secure environment for students and employees.

4. BHCSD will engage parents and other community stakeholders








The faculty and staff of the Ben Hill County Middle school in a collaborative effort with students, their families, and our community will create a safe, nurturing environment, which will promote the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child.  Through a broad-based curriculum, our students will be empowered to be competent life-long learners and effective contributors to their world. 







1.  We believe the school is a support system made up of the community, educators,   students, and       
      parents who are committed to the continuous improvement of our school. 
2.  We believe that each person has choices and is responsible for the consequences of those choices.
